Bulldog Gym Brisbane’s beginner’s beginners kickboxing class Brisbane is for anyone new to kick boxing/Muay Thai as well as for people who want to improve their technique, or just have a great work out. All fitness levels are welcome!
Kickboxing is a high-energy workout that will strengthen and tone your whole body, while being extremely effective in burning fat and increasing stamina. The sessions are structured so that you develop a firm foundation of skills and techniques before moving on to the more advanced class. If you are a complete beginner we will give you some individualised attention focusing initially on stance and footwork. No other beginners kickboxing in Brisbane will give you the support Bulldog Gym Brisbane does! We will then introduce you to basic punches and kicks as well as beginning pad work.
This premier beginners kickboxing class Brisbane, is a great way to learn the basics of kickboxing/Muay Thai and improve your technique, while at the same time meeting new people and building upon your confidence. If you’re a new member at the gym this class is a great place to start!
You are able to turn up to any of the Muay Thai classes and we will be able to get you started on your Muay Thai journey!

Kickboxing is a stand up sport that developed from a combination of karate, muay thai, taekwondo and western boxing. It is a contact sport, but largely practised for self-defence and general fitness purposes. It’s great for people from beginner to advanced levels as it develops basic techniques which can be applied to other contact sports.
Some techniques that you might expect to learn in a kickboxing class include: jabs; crosses, hooks, uppercuts, short straight punches, backfists, flying punches, cross-counters, overhands, bolo punches, half hooks, half swings, front kicks, side kicks, semi-circular kicks, roundhouse kicks, hock kicks, crescent kicks, axe kciks, back kicks, and sweeping.
